Ha Giang Tour, 4 days, 3 nights

HA GIANG LOOP

HA GIANG LOOP

Ha Giang is a small province located in the north of Vietnam, also known as the northernmost point of the country. For travelers, Ha Giang can offer many unique experiences. The land stretches with not only majestic sceneries and endless winding roads paving their ways through, but also with various native flowers flourishing all year round and, of course, the locals’ authentic and loving nature. There are also earth and farming features in Ha Giang that you may have never seen before: huge limestone walls, outcropping granite boulders, vast valleys, rice terraces and roads snaking around the mountains. With a population of just over 1 million people, Ha Giang is one of the poorest provinces in Vietnam. This is an area that still retains its pristine character and is well-preserved. Life here is unaffected by the harmful effects of mass tourism and major industries’ exploitation. Experiencing Ha Giang is definitely a "must-do" in your journeys in Vietnam. How to get to Ha Giang?

Trip Itinerary

Day 1
If you are traveling from Hanoi or other provinces to Ha Giang on the first day, our guide will pick you up at your drop-off point and show you where to leave your luggages and take you for lunch. After lunch the trip will begin. If you are already staying at your hotel in Ha Giang, the guide will come to pick you up at your hotel. S/he will meet you at 13:30 and shortly present the plan for your adventure. The first journey starts in Ha Giang and stops at the foot of the Bac Sum slope. Here you will enjoy the view of the beautiful valley of the Nho village. Next you will visit Lung Khuy cave, a cave with historical sites associated with the life of mountain tribes then go to Nam Dam village, a quiet small village of the Dao tribe, where you can rest for the night, enjoy dinner with a local family as well as the tribe’s traditional corn wine.
Day 2
The journey is about 150 km of going up to Dong Van. Along the winding roads, you will see yourself in the stone plateau peaks of Dong Van, which is a poor district where 95% of nature is stone, and this explains why the staple here is a corn food called “mèn mén”. The next destination is the landmark of the northernmost point of Vietnam, from which the viewers may admire the scenery at the Vietnam – China border, in between which stretches a beautiful valley. After that, we will return to Dong Van and rest. We encourage you to go on the weekend because Dong Van is the largest market in the Ha Giang area where traders sell handicrafts, exchange goods, etc.
Day 3
This is the day you can capture the most memorable moments in your adventure to Ha Giang. After breakfast, if it happens to be on Sunday, we will visit the market, then start moving out of Dong Van town. We will start walking for about 2 hours to Ma Pi Leng, one of the most stunning passes in Northwestern Vietnam with endless winding roads. Along the way we can walk on white limestone rocks or the God cliff. At the stop you will be able to catch the whole view of Nho Que river. Once the walking tour ends, we will start moving on by motorbike down to the river and take a boat cruise while enjoying the beauty of the river. After the tour, we will return to Meo Vac town for lunch, then head to Du Gia village, a village that’s still untouched by tourism and big industry. The tour ends on the 3rd day and you’ll have your rest at a homestay.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will tour around the village to visit the waterfall, then return to the homestay to prepare and move back to Ha Giang. Around 3-4 pm, we’ll reach Ha Giang and the adventure tour ends.
